AMA District 36 Road Riders
The American
Motorcyclist Association granted District 36 Road Rider Division its
charter in 1974, and in
2010
we proudly celebrate our
36
th year of continuous effort to promote and protect the interests of
motorcyclists, both the "recreational" rider and those who consider
motorcycling a way of life. District 36 serves
AMA charted clubs, promoters, and individual riders in Northern
California and Western Nevada.
District 36 provides organized motorcycling events and promotes cooperation with
other motorcycle clubs and organizations, within and outside its district
borders. In addition, the District serves as the official liaison between the
chartered clubs and AMA national headquarters. Our Congress Representatives are
your voice and take your issues and concerns to AMA National each year. We are
here to provide assistance to clubs in the preparation of charter, sanction,
and insurance applications, and in the
completion of reports at the conclusion of club
sponsored events.
District 36 and its member organizations promote family fun on motorcycles
through activities that encourage and exemplify safe and skillful riding.
We invite all road and dual-sport riders and clubs to participate in the events
of the District. AMA membership is not required, although we strongly promote
AMA and its ideals. All individuals who are members of AMA, and who live within
the boundaries of District 36 are automatically members of District 36. There
are no individual dues required by District 36. We invite AMA chartered clubs
and promoters to become voting members of District 36 for an annual membership
fee of $35.00. Your membership in District 36 will include your club’s events
in our annual calendar and promotional materials, plus helping strengthen the
bond between clubs.
Each Year our event calendar includes
a variety of activities, including our Gypsy Tour and a fun-filled three day
family DISTRICT HEY-DEY RALLY, just outside Yosemite National Park, each Labor
Day Weekend.
